Detailed Tour Plan

Day 01: Arrival in Leh

Upon arrival at Leh airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure to acclimate to the high altitude of Leh, situated 3500 meters above sea level. In the evening, explore Leh Bazaar. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Leh

Exploration Embark on a full-day excursion to Thiksey and Hemis monasteries. Witness the fascinating “praying ceremony” at Thiksey monastery in the morning and visit the renowned Hemis monastery, one of the largest in Leh. En route, explore Shey Palace. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh – Spituk – Alchi – Uleytokpo (80 KM, 3 Hours)

After breakfast, depart for Uleytokpo camping, renowned for its scenic beauty. Visit Spituk Monastery and Alchi monastery, unique for being situated on flat ground. Enjoy the evening by the riverbank. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 04: Uleytokpo – Lamayuru – Leh (180 KM, 6 Hours)

Drive to Lamayuru via Khaltsi, home to one of Ladakh’s oldest monasteries founded in the 10th century. Return to Leh in the late afternoon for overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Leh – Nubra Valley (125 KM, 5 Hours)

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Explore Diskit and Hundar monasteries en route. Check in at the camp upon arrival for an overnight stay.

Day 06: Nubra – Khardong La – Leh (130 KM, 5 Hours)

Drive back to Leh after breakfast, stopping at Khardungla Pass, historically significant for its role in the Leh-Kashgar caravan route. Upon arrival in Leh, the rest of the day is free for shopping and independent activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07: Leh – Pangong Lake – Leh (320 KM)

Set out early for Pangong Lake, passing through Changla Pass, the third highest motorable road globally. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Pangong Lake, shared by India and China. Return to Leh by the same route for an overnight stay.

Day 08: Departure

Transfer to Leh airport early morning for your onward flight.
